A Weekend of Learning…
A Lifetime of Connection
Why Every Yoga Teacher Should Become Trauma Informed
As a yoga teacher, you’ve likely witnessed the deeply personal moments that unfold on the mat.
A student crying, a visible scar that tells a story, or a spontaneous heartfelt confession—these experiences reveal the profound trust students place in you.
Becoming trauma-informed gives you the tools to meet these moments with confidence and compassion.
It’s not about changing everything you do, it’s about adding depth, awareness, and sensitivity to your teaching.
Foster Safety and Trust: Help students feel seen, respected, and safe to move, breathe, and heal.
Expand Your Impact: Equip yourself with tools to guide students through their healing journeys.
Elevate Your Skills: Use trauma-sensitive cues and approaches that create a more inclusive environment.
Deepen Empathy: Understand the unspoken challenges your students face, strengthening your connection with them.
Trauma-informed teaching is about creating spaces where healing and transformation thrive.
It’s a perspective that not only enhances your students’ experiences but also deepens your growth as a teacher and human being.
“This course completely changed how I approach teaching. My students feel more seen, and I feel more confident in guiding them through challenges.”
“I came for my students, but I left with tools that transformed my personal practice too. Everyone should take this course!”
This is more than a certification—
it’s a movement.
Hi, I’m Terri Cooper Space.
I’m the owner of 305 Yoga and the founder of Connection Coalition, but to me, it’s less about titles and more about doing work that truly matters.
Over the past few decades, I’ve brought yoga to some of the most unexpected places: schools, jails, shelters, and community centers.
I’ve certified nearly 500 yoga teachers at 305 Yoga and trained more than 5,000 people across the country in trauma-informed mind-body practices.
But let’s cut to the chase….I’m not your typical yoga girl.
I’m a street-smart yogi [in a thick girl body] who doesn’t do fluff, flash, or fancy poses for Instagram.
I’m raw, real, and unapologetically myself— but always with a heart big enough to carry the whole room.
My teaching style is empathetic, inclusive, powerful, and… if I’m being honest, has a knack for cracking people open in the best possible way.
I believe yoga is for everybody—every body.
If you’ve ever felt out of place in a yoga studio, you won’t feel that way around me.
So, whether we meet on the mat or in the middle of life’s chaos, know that I’m here to help you find what’s real, raw, and healing within yourself.
I’d love for you to join me for an empowering weekend that will shift the way you see yourself, your practice, and maybe even the world.
We’ll laugh, move, learn, and grow together—and who knows, you might just surprise yourself.
Let’s do this.
Love T
